Crazy girl! Bunny ears, ball cap riding the tricycle-my little miss independent:)
This is what normal people do when it is cold, and we come upon a creek with the jeeps...
...but not Ellie...she talks Daddy into jumping right in!
Our first haircut with Miss Jessie. Daddy didn't want it any shorter so we only cut off about 2 inches. I'm thinking next time he may not be informed where we are going!!

January Blizzard!

This week we were hit with a blizzard...8+ inches of snow! We have missed Monday-Thursday of school so far. Ellie LOVES the snow! We are out in it as much as possible...sledding, making Frosty's, playing anyway possible. I am learning how to layer a wiggly toddler as best as I can...while still allowing her some freedom in what she wears. The top picture was her choice of outfits...I later learned I needed to be more specific in that she needed to wear a hat and boots outside, apparently clothes were not understood. Her babies were safety in the backpack.
This choice of outfits was ok as a base layer. There is a jeep on her shirt which is her favorite because we have been riding in the jeep for the past few days.
Ellie, Rayna and Nicholas being pulled by Bull at the Clemson dams.
James and Ginger at the dams...and all the college kids...we were the oldest, had the youngest, and were much more prepared than the others!

Christmas on the farm

Ginger, mommy and Elliell have matching snowman shirts...E refused to wear hers...but it was sucessful anyway!
Love our tricycle from Uncle Jamesie...watch out cats, and cars, and...
We got snow on Christmas! The first time since '63. Not much, but it was white. Ellie is still not impressed because her snowman doesn't talk like Frosty. We headed out to go sledding, and Ellie woke up from a nap sick...and that is what we have been doing since...she was/is sick...Benji got it, and I got a stomach bug. This isn't quite what I had pictured for the end of my break, but better that having to loose time from work I suppose. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas fun

In the Anderson Christmas parade with Nicholas, Rayna and Jennifer.
Mickey was supposed to go outside, yet he is still in my living room where he gets hugs daily. However it is rather difficult to hear tv over the roaring:)

December 2010

Ellie decided that she "needed" a Mickey Mouse Christmas tree...not what I expected when I asked how she wanted to decorated the tree in her room. Being the frugal mom I am, I hit the dollar store and this is what I came up with-after realizing that the disney ornaments are more expensive than I thought they would be. Of course now they are on sale...wonder if she will want a Disney tree next year???
Cheese!
Decorating Mema's Christmas tree with cousin Kallissa. Mema was very proud of the fact that she had grand-daughters, great grand-daughters, and a great great grand-daughter decorating her tree. Inspite of all our help, we got it decorated. Ellie loved wearing the strings of lights like necklaces, and Kallissa liked taking the decorations off of the tree.
